Cardinal's Group Fitness - Class Descriptions
Fit Camps are designed to promote a commitment to health and lifestyle changes. If you are just beginning a fitness regimen and want to start under the guidance of a qualified professional, or you're a conditioned athlete looking to enhance your routine, Fit Camps are for you!
Being part of a team helps you reach those fitness goals that you thought you would never achieve on your own. You will work on cardio, strength, endurance, and core training on our state of the art equipment. Fit Camps are held in our beautiful 4000 sq. ft. Turf Room and state of the art classrooms featuring TRX Suspension Trainers, kettlebells, free weights, computerized spinning bikes and more! The variety is endless, and keeps the monotony out of your workouts!
In addition to the workouts, you will also receive continued nutritional advice, fitness assessments, and a log to track your progress.
Fit Camps meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays of each week for the month. Select a session time that works best with your schedule, and purchase the session prior to the month you wish to begin. Session times range from early mornings to evenings. We can direct you into a group that best fits you, or bring us a group of five or more friends and we will set you up at the time you request.

Class Descriptions
(All classes may be modified for BEGINNERS and Pre/Post Natal Participants!)
A Water Bottle and Towel is recommended for all classes!
Cardiovascular Classes:
CYCLE: A cardio workout on stationary bikes that is the ultimate calorie burner! Both beginner and advanced participants can work in the same class as you ride the flats, climb the hills, and push the sprints just as in an outdoor bike ride! Improve your endurance and strengthen your legs in this non-impact cardiovascular class.
TRY CYCLE: For beginners to show you bike fit and the basics of spinning.
POWER STEP: We've taken the dance out and put the muscle back into the step. A simple, athletic workout with various intensities throughout.
ZUMBA: The latest fitness dance craze is here! Be prepared to move to hypnotic Latin and international rhythms as you lose yourself in shape. You will change from "I have" to work out to "I WANT" to!
CARDIO KICK: Learn martial arts while you burn calories! Experience the kicks, punches, uppercuts, and techniques used in a variety of disciplines.
CARDIO CONDITIONING: Think calorie burning and muscle conditioning! Heart pumping interval work on various types of equipment that are functional and fun. Held in our beautiful Turf Room.
Strength Training Classes:
PILATES & YOGALATES: The key to wonderful posture, strong abdominals, flexibility, and strength. This class targets the core area by working from the inside out. Yogalates is a blend of Yoga and Pilates that incorporates the various poses used in Yoga to flow from core to flexibility.
P.U.M.P.: Producing Unlimited Muscle Performance. A group strength workout that will engage every major muscle group in your body! It is designed for men and women of all ages, and incorporates various lifting techniques utilizing our TRX suspension trainers, free weights, weighted body bars, kettlebells, and more! P.U.M.P. is ideal for beginners and enthusiasts of all levels that seek a motivating workout.
BODY SCULPT: Designed for those seeking long, lean muscles and tone. We will work with light weights to target those hard to define muscles.
BUTTS N' GUTS: OK, let's just be honest! This is what people complain about more than anything! We'll attack the core from every angle in a time-efficient format. Tone and tighten up in just 30 minutes!
Combination Classes
R.I.P.P.E.D.: A new fitness formula combing Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, and Diet for a plateau-proof strength and cardio workout. R.I.P.P.E.D. is sweeping the nation as the latest in innovative training programs!
GUT BUSTER: Held in our exclusive Turf Room! This is the ultimate 1-hour Boot Camp training class featuring two instructors guaranteed to get a max calorie burn! Get ready for cardio, strength, core, and conditioning drills in a fun atmosphere!
CARDIO BARRE: Are you looking for defined muscles without the bulk? This is your opportunity to train with Yvonne Racz-Key, director of Ballet Lubbock! Take the discipline of ballet, the core strength of Pilates, and the dynamic stretching of yoga for a sleep and sexy, long and lean dancer's workout.
BOSU & TRX: Challenge your body as you train your core! Transition from the BOSU balance trainer to the TRX Suspension trainer as you experience stabilization, strength, and power.
TRX & KETTLEBELLS: A combination class focusing on functional strength and movement based patterns producing kinesthetic awareness for desirable improvements in alignment and strength.
CIRCUIT TRAINING: Intervals of structured exercises on our wide variety of training equipment, targeting strength, core, and endurance training. The variety is endless - no two classes are every the same! It's a total workout for your entire body!

RUN CLUB: Expert training to help you prepare for a competitive running event, or just begin a running routine. Join the Cardinal's Running Club! Leigh Daniel-Cordes will share all of her valued knowledge and experience to help you prepare for a competitive running event, or just begin a running routine. You will be placed with a group of runners at the level you want to join. Get access to clinics on proper shoe selection, nutrition, dealing with injuries, and motivational techniques, as well as special Running Club discounts to use throughout the Cardinal's store! Membership includes Marathon and Half-marathon training, as well as beginner running program.
